Get Visible Online to Get Clients

As a home based business owner, the online world is full of opportunities for promoting your business. If you desire to grow your client base, then being found, being visible, and connecting with prospects and clients online, is going to be very important for you.

Here are two core ways to be VISIBLE in the Online World, so that you can attract more clients. I also share the secret ingredient, essential to turning your visibility into clients…

1) Be Found on Search Engines

Being visible in search engine results is a key factor in being found online. Google is still the most popular search engine and Google’s intention is sound – they wish to provide searchers with the best results for whatever they are searching for. It’s as simple as that (well almost!).

You’ll need to “optimise” your website for Search Engines – also known as Search Engine Optimisation. For your website to be found and ranked highly by the search engines, it needs to address the following SEO elements:

Relevant Content: Your website content should be ‘keyword rich’ and contain the words and phrases that clients would use to search for your type of business.

Quantity of Content: The more written content you have on your website the more there is for Google to find, rank and return in their results. A very effective way to add regular new content to your website is by publishing a blog.

Tags and meta-tags: On the technical side, the coding that sits behind your website pages should include relevant page titles, descriptions and keyword tags.

Links: Quality links to and from your website are important to search engines, because they can indicate relevance and popularity.

2) Get Visible on Social Media

In other words, utilise online networking. This could be Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or one of the many other social networks. Most business owners I speak with want to know how to use social media effectively. They want to know how much time it will take, what they should do, and what results to expect.

The answers are going to be different for every business. What works for one business, may not work for another. The chances are, your business is unique, your personal preferences are unique and your goals are unique. You have the opportunity to create your own path here with social media, so that it suits you and your business.

My number one tip is uncover which online media or network is the best fit for you. It is usually not necessary to be on every social network. It is far more important to implement 1 or 2 successfully.

With Social Media you are creating online visibility, and creating networks and relationships with prospects and clients. You get to listen and learn about them, which helps you to deliver what they need and want. And you get to interact with them so they know about what you do, how you can help them, or what you have to offer.

Maintaining consistent online visibility through your chosen social network, is an opportunity to keep prospects and clients connected and in your world. Social media also opens up opportunities for your network to share your message further afield and introduce many more people to you and your business.

And the Secret Ingredient

OK, so now that you are VISIBLE and you’re consistently showing up for prospects and clients online. What next?

Generating loads of website visitors and having thousands of social network fans and followers, will not instantly transform into more clients, and greater profits in your business. Not without the secret ingredient in the Get Visible Online to Get Clients Path.

The secret ingredient to turn visibility into profits is to ASK your prospects and clients to take action. ASK them to call. ASK them to register for an introductory session. ASK them to subscribe. ASK them to buy.

Sure you have to share great content, give great tips and be authentic in your networking and visibility. But once you’re doing that, remember that, without asking, you shall not receive. So if you want more clients, make sure you let your fans, followers and website visitors know.

Wishing you much success on your path to Online Visibility for Client Attraction.
